Betting on airline bankruptcy

Posted on 31 December 2009 by Airline News

A bookmaker has just been given a load of free publicity in national newspapers for opening a book on “which airline will go bust next” and making a press release out of the results. They have done it before and as per the last time the press have lapped it up and chucked it back out and the travelling public (AKA self loading cargo according to Michael O’Leary check out more Michael O’Leary quotes).

Personally I think this is very irresponsible of the bookmaker  given that the travelling public is already uncertain of what to trust following the bankruptcy of globespan, closely followed by the bankruptcy of Allbury Travel.

Poor Show all round from the bookmaker concerned to all the editors that re-printed it.
